How a BioBlock system can be installed
We can fabricate a wide range of attachment systems depending on the final location of your home. Whether you need to qualify for mobile or permanent foundation status, we have a solution for you.
Concrete or block piers are placed at intervals under the home's frame or chassis, with the structure leveled and supported on them; steel straps, tie-downs, or anchors embed into the ground or piers to secure against wind uplift.
Sonotube Pier System with Anchor Plates
Sonotubes (cardboard tubular forms) are set into dug holes, then filled with reinforced concrete; metal anchor plates are embedded into the wet concrete top, providing a stable platform where the home's frame is bolted, strapped, or welded directly to the plates for uplift resistance and leveling.
Tie-Down Anchors
Helical auger-style tie down (or ground screws) are screwed or buried deep into the soil, then heavy-duty steel straps or cables connect from the home's frame to these anchors, tensioned to hold the structure firmly.
Slab Foundation
A thick poured concrete slab is laid on prepared ground, and metal straps, bolts, or J-bolts are embedded in the wet concrete to directly attach the home's frame or floor system to the slab.
